Queridos todos;
Ya estoy de vuelta. Perdón por el retraso pero la verdad es que mis vacaciones se han alargado muchísimo este año y me ha costado volver a meterme de nuevo con el blog, pero os prometo poneros al día de todos mis viajes, cursos y conferencias. Empiezo por la reunión de la Sociedad Roth-Williams FACE que tuvo lugar este año en Sao Paulo, Brasil.
Este año ha sido una reunión realmente impresionante, acudieron más de 250 doctores y hubo más de 15 presentaciones. Este año además tuvimos la visita de la Dra. Reny De Leeuw de la Universidad de Kentucky, que está con el Dr. Okeson, y nos habló sobre el diagnóstico diferencial de los problemas de ATM. Fue muy muy interesante. El curso pre congreso lo dio el Dr. Ayala que habló sobre actualidades de la filosofía FACE. Luego hablaron los doctores Gunson, McClendon, Weinstein, etc., tocando muchos temas diferentes.
Para los interesados os incluyo un pdf de la reunión…(pdf). Lo pasamos realmente bien y se anunció el meeting del año que viene y será en Nueva Orleans, justo después de la reunión americana de ortodoncia. Será a finales de abril o principios de mayo, aún no tenemos las fechas exactas. I’m finally back. Sorry about the delay, but my holiday was extended this year and I found it hard to get back into blogging, but I promise to update you on all my trips, courses and conferences. I will begin with this year’s FACE Roth-Williams Society conference, which was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This year’s conference was quite impressive, more than 250 doctors attended from over 15 different countries and there were over 20 presentations. Our main guest this year was Dr. Reny de Leeuw of the University of Kentucky, who works with Dr. Okeson, and she talked about differential diagnosis of TMJ problems. It was extremely interesting. The pre-congress course was given by Dr. Ayala, who spoke about updates to FACE’s philosophy. Then Dr. Gunson, Dr. McClendon, and Dr. Weinstein, and others, spoke on many different topics.
For those interested, I include a PDF on the conference…(pdf). We had a great conference and it was announced that next year’s one will be held in New Orleans, right after the American Association of Orthodontics(AAO) conference. It will be in late April or early May, we don’t have exact dates yet.
