Queridos amigos,
Después del curso FACE Internacional, vine de vuelta a mi clínica a trabajar y luego fui de nuevo a Bélgica. Bélgica sí, de nuevo fui allí, pero esta vez a Amberes y ¡qué descubrimiento! Dios mío ¡qué hermosa ciudad! y lo que fue realmente precioso e increíble fue la parte vieja de la ciudad,…impresionante y sorprendente.
Esta vez no fue invitado por una sociedad de ortodoncia sino más bien por una sociedad prostodóntica. Como sabéis, me estoy haciendo muy popular entre los prostodontistas y la razón principal es porque hablo de oclusión y esto para ellos es casi una revelación. Los ortodoncistas ya no hablan, ni siquiera mencionan la palabra oclusión y cuando los prostodontistas te oyen hablar de orto, perio y prost y que se tome en cuenta la posición condilar estable y luego colocar los dientes en contacto manteniendo esta posición, se quedan muy muy sorprendidos y en muchos casos…emocionados. Vamos, la misma historia donde quiera que vaya.
El nombre del grupo es VBT (Vlaamse Beroepsvereniging Tandartsen). Había más de 150 presentes y hablé de Oclusión y de Tratamiento Multidisciplinario y también sobre orto perio, orto, prost y el uso de los implantes dentales para corregir la Clase II y mordidas abiertas. El curso fue todo un éxito y el “feed back” fue increíblemente positivo.
Volviendo a Amberes, tuvimos mucha suerte de poder ver una exposición con pinturas de Rubens. Él realmente vivió aquí durante muchos años por lo que en la catedral hay muchas pinturas pero tuvimos la suerte de ver muchos más cuadros de este increíble genio. La catedral es considerada como la creación gótica más hermosa y una de las iglesias góticas más importantes en Europa y créanme que es una maravilla para la vista.
Esta vez no hubo conciertos pero fuimos a algunos restaurantes y también vimos el museo de arte moderno MHKA que está situado en el antiguo puerto y el Museo MAS, donde sólo el edificio merece una visita.
Y colorín colorado, este cuento se ha acabado…

After the FACE International course I went back to the office to work and then off again to Belgium !!!! yes Belgium again but this time to Antwerp and what a discovery oh my God..what a beautiful city and what a really beautiful and incredible old part of town,,,,breathtaking and stunning….
This time I was not invited by an orthodontic society but rather by a prosthodontic society…as you know I am getting quite popular among prosthodontists and the main reason is because I speak occlusion and this for them is almost a revelation…orthodontists no longer speak or even mention the word occlusion and when prostodontists hear you speak ortho,perio and prost and that you take into account a stable condylar position and then put teeth into contact maintaining this position they are very very surprised and in many instances …excited…the same story everywhere I go.

Getting back to Antwerp we were very lucky to be able to see a exposition with paintings from Rubens…he actually lived here for many years so in the catedral there a many paintings but we were fortunate to see many more paintings of this incredible genius…the cathedral is considered the most beautiful gothic and one of the most important gothic churches in Europe and believe me it is a wonder and a light to the eyes.
No concerts but we went to some great restaurants and also saw the modern art museum MHKA which is situated in the old port and the MAS Museum where just the building is worth a visit.
